Chapter One - The Thief
As Evren jogged off stage, her grin fell from her dark face instantly, a grimace of pain replacing it. Kelebek looked up from sewing her costume and groaned. “Eve, did you lose track of your own fire again?” she asked as another group of entertainers dashed out into the centre rings. “Maybe,” Evren responded, showing her blistered hands to the half-dragon healer. “Come on, just rub some of this gel on the burns and you should be fine for the next show,” Kelebek replied, handing the dark-skinned elf a small jar of balm. “Thanks, Bekka,” Eve rep

The next morning, Evren woke to the throbbing pain in her arm. While she’d expected the sling that was hanging off one of the tent-flap ties, she was quite shocked to discover that Kadri was lying on the ground beside her. She furrowed her brow and looked down at him, not sure if the conversation they’d had the previous evening had been real or not, but she could’ve sworn that he’d called her beautiful… Carefully rising so as not to damage her arm more, she studied Kadri a little more closely. Jewel of the Desert 8Chapter Eight - Growing Feelings... and a Fall
Sure enough, as Kadri presumed it would, in the next few days the rain only got heavier. The heavy, dark clouds nearly blotted out all of Ravindra, giving the desert their much-needed rain. Barrels were left out in the open to collect the fresh water, and people could only be glimpsed dashing between buildings or when the children came out to play in the small breaks between downpours. Kadri reluctantly stayed in the tents the majority of the time, and didn’t try again to convince Evren to go outside. This she was obviously quite pleased about and continued to ignore Kadri Jewel of the Desert 8

Jewel of the Desert 7Chapter Seven - The Rain
Several weeks later, Evren was just as irritated with Kadri as she always was. On the other hand, the half-elf had healed well and was becoming a considerably decent opponent. Eve found herself actually struggling to defeat him at times in their training sessions. She had expected him to get better, of course, but not as quickly as he had. It seemed after what had happened he was even more determined to fight and win. With over a week of heavy training, Koray was finally convinced that Kadri was well enough to go in a real show again. Hello to our few watches and visitors, and welcome. This co-owned account is for the hosting of the various stories we, ~AlmasNamir and *Ilenora, have written. To read more about our history take a look at the DevID below!

At the moment our current story, Jewel of the Desert, will be updating at a very slow pace. It's currently a very busy time for both of us and we don't have much time for editing, but we will try to update as often as possible. We apologise to keep readers waiting, but we hope you enjoy the chapters as they come and give us any feedback you have!

WELCOME TO SIOTHRIN ALAIA!

~AlmasNamir here. Not only can *Ilenora and I collaborate on writing, but we ARE capable of doing it in images. Both dolls were created on elouai, and the fonts were gotten off of dafont.com

At the beginning of 2008, my writing partner and I started out with what we called an RP, though it turned out to be much, much more.

The Legacy of the Elders: Breaking the Mold was finished four months later.

After that, we wrote Vita et Mors. The two projects totaled out to over 400 pages of work, and plenty of experience earned. Once we’d somewhat refined our technique, we took a different turn in the location and cast we used, and started writing the first project that we’re going to post.

Jewel of the Desert and Jewel of the Desert 2 have been a supreme labor of love, and we’re still working on editing it.

Ilenora and I have been communicating for over 18 months, and we’ve been writing for just over a year together. As it is, we’re continuing to write together, and we hope to continue for quite a long time to come.

I know that we enjoy our efforts, and we hope that you will, too.

might i ask what jotd stands for? you see, i'm writing a novel and the initials are JtoD, i stumbled upon your story by typo, but it seems like a good read.

well, even if you found us by typo, i'm glad that you're interested! btw, what's your novel called? the similarities intrigue me...

also, sorry for not getting back to you quickly. it's a joint account and neither one of us check this thing all that often...

that's fine, i don't check my messages all that often either.

My novel's called Journey to our Destiny. it's your basic tragedy occurs chosen ones set off to save the world kinda deal.
